4 of Spades

Definition

The 4 of Spades is stability in the material and physical world. Grounded. Settled. Secure. Four is foundation, and in the Spades suit, that foundation is about your health, your work, and the physical structures that keep your life running.

The High Side

You are grounded in a way that other people envy. Stability that you built through discipline, not luck. Satisfaction with where you are because you earned it. You ultimately obtain what you desire because you were willing to wait and work for it. Fortunate outcomes that feel like destiny because your preparation met the right timing. The 4 of Spades at its best is the person who looks calm on the surface because the foundation underneath is solid.

The Shadow Side

The "kept" woman or man. You trade your autonomy for someone else's stability. You stay in a job, a relationship, or a living situation that is comfortable but soul-crushing because the security feels too valuable to risk. Complacency disguised as contentment. You stop growing because growth requires discomfort and you have arranged your life to avoid discomfort at all costs. The 4 of Spades in shadow is the golden cage. Beautiful. Stable. And slowly suffocating.

A live reading is the deepest way we work together. We spend an hour and a half to two hours, one on one, by phone or Zoom, whichever feels easier for you. We go through your whole life spread, including your Saturn era and your Transformed Self, and I answer whatever you bring. You keep a copy of your life spread report and your next two yearly reports, the year you are in now and the year ahead. We can record the call so you can return to it, and you get one 30-minute follow-up for anything that opens up later.
